Graves & Landmarks Committee

The Graves & Landmarks committee is dedicated to finding the location and promoting the preservation of histoical landmarks, Revolutionary War Veteran's graves, and the graves of Patriots who provided services for the cause of the Revolutionary War.

Currently, we have an ongoing project in attempts to collect and compile data to be maintained by the Stephen Holston Chapter, Tennessee SAR.  The data to be collected is names of Rev. War Soldiers & Patriots, photos of their headstones, names of places of burials, GPS coordinates of burial plots, and whether it has been marked by the SAR, or DAR.  Lastly, we wish to post a copy of their Revolutionary War Pension Application if possible.  This compiled information may be found below.

The Chapter is actively marking these soldiers' and patriots' gravesites.  If you have an Patriot ancestor whose grave you would like to have marked, please use the "Contact Us" link on the right.

Revolutionary War Pensions & Gravesites ~(Book~7.54 MB)~ - Document contains information pertaining to Revolutionary War Veterans who either died or applied for a pension in Knox and the surrounding counties.
